I used Wayland once a few years ago and it was a bit buggy so that means its the spawn of the devil.

It’s gotten a lot better. It’s not perfect, especially on nvidia cards, though those have also gotten a lot better and for many people are pretty usable on Wayland. At this point if you don’t work with video, Wayland is pretty good.
