A community about mild curses, like every time you put on shoes your socks are wet etc.
Check it out, can you think of any mild curses?
A place to post new communities all over Lemmy for discovery and promotion.
The rules for behavior are a straight carry over of Mastodon.World’s rules. You can click the link but we’ve reposted them here in brief, as a guideline. We will continue to use the Mastodon.World rules as the master list. Over all, be nice to each other and remember this isn’t a community built around debate. For the rules about formatting your posts, scroll down to number 2.
1. Follow the rules of Mastodon.world, which can be found here.
A. Provide an inclusive and supportive environment. This means if it isn’t rulebreaking and we can’t be supportive to them then we probably shouldn’t engage.
B. No illegal content.
C. Use content warnings where appropriate. This means mark your submissions NSFW if need be.
D. No uncivil behavior. This includes, but is not limited to: Name Calling; Bullying; Trolling; Disruptive Commenting; or Personal Criticisms.
E. No Harrassment. As an example in relation to Transgender people this includes, deadnaming, misgendering, and promotion of conversion therapy. Similarly Misogyny, Misandry, and Racism are also banned here.
2. Include a community or instance title and description in your post title. - A following example of this would be New Communities - A place to post new communities or instances all over Lemmy for discovery and promotion.
3. Follow the formatting. - The formatting as included below is important for people getting universal links across Lemmy as easily as possible.
Please include this following format in your post:
[link text](/c/[email protected])
This provides a link that should work across instances, but in some cases it won’t
You should also include either:
Q: Why do I get a 404?
A: At least one user in an instance needs to search for a community before it gets fetched. Searching for the community will bring it into the instance and it will fetch a few of the most recent posts without comments. If a user is subscribed to a community, then all of the future posts and interactions are now in-sync.
Q: When I try to create a post, the circle just spins forever. Why is that?
A: This is a current known issue with large communities. Sometimes it does get posted, but just continues spinning, but sometimes it doesn’t get posted and continues spinning. If it doesn’t actually get posted, the best thing to do is try later. However, only some people seem to be having this problem at the moment.

I think I already have this curse
You and everyone else.
Wet socks can be more than a mild curse. That’s how trench foot became such a dangerous disease during WWI.
People cursed with this will likely just need to stop wearing shoes and switch to sandals only
Incompatible with life in Canada. Most cold countries I’d assume.
It’s mild until it isn’t.
On every keyboard you use, one of the letters is flaky. It’s a different letter each time. Sometimes it sticks down, and you get “ttttttttt”, someimes i doesn’ work attttttttttt all.
I got this curse, though it only doubles a letter, not nine-tuples it. The biggest curse, is that the only cure I found when the curse starts, it is to remove the keyboard drivers and let Windows (ugh, I know) reinstall them. Here’s the keyboard drivers I’m presented with each timee : (double e left in for good measure)
Subscribed. Don’t want to be cursed for not subscribing.
Mild Curse: You subscribe, but everything you wanted to submit has already been posted. You find the remaining posts uninteresting. You comment, but no one replies or upvotes. People are raving about the new community, but to you, it’s just “meh” ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
When shopping for clothes or shoes, you will find items in your size, and items in your preferred color/style. But never both at the same time.
You always use the wrong key the first time trying to unlock a door.
I see zero posts on my instance. I may be the first subscriber from here!
Strange, there are many posts https://piefed.social/c/mildcurses
It kind of blew up
They pulled into my instance not long after! I think sometimes you have to be the first subscriber to see content because the instance itself won’t subscribe if nobody wants that data.
In any foodstuff which says “average contents”, followed by a number, you will always get fewer than average.
For example, your packet of chicken nuggets says “average contents : 24 nuggets”. You are the person who receives 23 nuggets.
You always dribble a little bit when you pull your pants back up.
Hilarious. I’m in.
Oh oh 1: every time you’re at a concert the tallest person stands in front of you 2: your fast food order is always wrong
These are my partner’s super powers and it’s hilarious.
