Finding friends with ADHD helps. Usually we are pretty good at spotting each other and yeah k gave a loot of friends their “first one” and after that they instantly went to a doctor, because I was right about having undiagnosed ADHD.

Alsos sorry To hear that you live in a country, where you have to pay for such meds :(

Dude. Talk to a doctor somehow, try telemedicine, a clinic, whatever it takes. Explain your situation to them, maybe they can hook you up with some samples. Anything but fucking with random shit off the street. Don’t become a fentanyl statistic

I mean, your only option besides getting your doctor to prescribe it is to find a dealer or someone with a script they don’t want to illegally sell it to you

Antidepressants for ADHD? Everything that isn’t an upper for ADHD? Why?

I think that all of those have some impact on the levels of nor-epinephrine and/or dopamine in your system, which also impacts ADHD as far as I understand. I take bupropion hydrochloride (Wellbutrin in the US) for a combination of depression and adhd. It’s mild compared to the stimulants I think. Where I live, doctors do everything they can in order to avoid prescribing addictive substances, including stimulants.

That’s wild, here they go straight to stimulants and usually the depression disappears once the ADHD is treated

We don’t even have instant release Adderall in Canada only Adderall XR. The only instant release amphetamine we have is dextroamphetamine instant release and almost no doctors or psychiatrist prescribed it anynore. Everyone gets Vyvanse or Concerta or other long acting meds.

Also no Canadian doctor will prescribe to an American who is just visiting. Getting ADHD meds in Canada generally requires a psychiatrist visit and we have long wait times or a family doctor that knows your history well enough to do a trial run on meds. Walk in clinics won’t prescribe ADHD meds

Again this is a moot point since no doctor in Canada will prescribe these meds to someone who doesn’t live here

Check with people you know who have scripts. Not to get them to share, but to find out who their doctors are. Sorry in advance if you love in a red state where ADHD is a hoax and all you need is jeebus. That doesn’t make it hopeless, just means you have to be more persistent.

Treating the depression is probably easier. Your primary care doctor can probably get you started on something.
