Omg, so much sweat. What the hell. My back starts sweating (INDOORS) if I stand too long, like y’know, just talking to friends in a bar.

If I can’t leave work because important meetings I can’t get out of, I’ll go sit in the car and breathe, or excuse myself to the bathroom if I have to (including going to another floor sometimes) and try a quick grounding exercise like rainbow grounding or the one where you visualize a warm light filling you from first your toes, then calves, then knees, so on and so on. I can usually hold myself together afterward until the end of the day, but I know I will be falling apart that evening. I will prep the honey to pick up pizza or order DoorDash and plan on playing Playstation.

Generic extended release methylphenidate was what my primary care doc first tried me on. I noticed it a little and thought ok, it’s still really hard to function. What do people mean that getting on medication was a game changer for them?

After about a year of this, trudging through my day still, I got in to see a psych about a month ago who switched me to Vyvanse, and holy cow. I’m functioning again! Wtf?!

I will say that my sleep has suffered some, but that’s a little bit on me for not taking my meds early enough in the day.
