The pacing was terrible. Long periods of boredom where I almost fell asleep. Otherwise great though. (Except hotdog fingers wouldn’t evolve. They would immediately have removed the first mutation from the breeding pool. (AuSADHD over here))

??? They showed a scene where caveman hotdog fingers lucked out and killed a regular fingered caveman.

I don’t know if I directly agree with you, but I do generally agree with you that the movie was not as good as it could have been.

It kind of felt like a Jackson Pollock painting. All of the parts and pieces were there in roughly the correct amounts, but it was so scattered and all over the place that it was hard to make any sense of it, except the very thinnest of plot lines.

I will say it was entertaining, and it was beautiful, and it was definitely a visual cornucopia of special effects and events.

But as far as the core of the story, I feel like they didn’t nurture it enough, and they didn’t focus on it enough, and they didn’t bring it to full flower before finishing the movie.

I agree. I feel they focused way too much on the spectical of the story rather than telling the story.

why are you being downvoted? I didn’t see the movie, but it sounds like a solid review (I’d still watch it)
