It looks like you’re right! You can’t block instances your server doesn’t know about, I didn’t know that.
A very peculiar design choice.
It still shows up in Admin Settings, so I have to assume that once threads starts federating it will get blocked.
Hmm, you’re right. It seems I simply forgot to save the blacklist after modifying it.
After having updated to 0.18.1-rc.10 for backend and rc11 for UI I can now see threads.net at the end of my blocked instances list.

I mean, its easy to do the switch. I started on lemmy and switched to kbin and it feels just so much more modern and welcoming.
How do you do that? I’ve fiddled with it recently, because of the flood of German posts from feddit.de, I can’t speak a lick of German.
