Hello community, looking for your wisdom, I need a tool / addon / script / whatever free that works for windows to download videos from i.e. netflix or prime video. ty!
I’ve been using Streamfab to download niche shows I’ve purchased through prime video that I couldn’t find anywhere else. It’s expensive af, but there’s a crack for it.
It requires an elaborate setup with knockoff capture cards and HDMI splitters with their drm compliance disabled. People who already have this upload Netflix movies etc to wherever you get the rest of your movies
PlayOn.tv is a service that allows you to record from Netflix and Prime, and several others. I used their old desktop software for years before they moved the whole thing to the cloud and turned it into a service. Give it a try if you like.
Does ytd work well? Many streaming sites I try prevent downloading via ytd.
Especially those using HLS m3u8 to serve videos and shown as blob content. Only addon that seem to work in most of the streamers is https://github.com/puemos/hls-downloader
Even this is a bit buggy in that it would stop working after downloading 4-6 vids and i need to restart the browser. Annoying but works when getting a direct video URL or ytd fails.
Streamfab and RedFox AnyStream are the big ones when you want a movie from a streaming ip that you can’t find on any trackers. I’d recommend trying out AnyStream’s free trial, you wanna make sure it works before you buy.

Since these services have hardware level drm i doubt you will find something. It would be easier to get them via arrrlternate ways
I thought you could dump the widewine emcryption keys from an android devices and then download and decrypt the video

Give it a day and someone has ripped and uploaded the full season to a torrent site, that’s how I handle these messy streaming services.
