That link doesn’t work for me but [email protected] does. I don’t know how Lemmy’s community names work, but this one seems to have “web1” for the URL even though its name is “theoldweb”.
That worked for me as well. Anything else, I just kept getting error after error after error. So I’m not quite certain what’s going on. It appears that to me, it doesn’t like the format provided in this community on the sidebar.
I was proven wrong. What I did was that I looked into my modlog, took the snippet of “/c/web1”, applied it over the format example, while combining the link provided in your comment. It works perfectly.

A: At least one user in an instance needs to search for a community before it gets fetched. Searching for the community will bring it into the instance and it will fetch a few of the most recent posts without comments. Q: When I try to create a post, the circle just spins forever. Why is that?
A: This is a current known issue with large communities. Sometimes it does get posted, but just continues spinning, but sometimes it doesn’t get posted and continues spinning. If it doesn’t actually get posted, the best thing to do is try later. However, only some people seem to be having this problem at the moment.

There is a name and a display name. The actual name is necessary for the links.
