We will see so far my experience with threads has been seeing many republican accounts in my feed. Which I find somewhat weird as I haven’t done anything related to politics on my phone for it to show me lots of political figures. I hope threads doesn’t go down a deep hole of shoving politics into your face as that’s what it seems so far for me at least.
Yeah Facebook has always been shitty but imo Twitter is worse now. It feels like a weird fusion of Facebook and 4chan now especially with blue checkmark accounts being the top replies. So every post just has a bunch of edgy conspira-boomers spewing the usual right wing stuff or just praising Elon thinking he’ll notice them.
I hate meta but I think I hate Elons Twitter more so I’m rooting for zuck to kill Twitter.

Meta knows that anger and hatred drives engagement.
“My time has come … to also sit on my own balls”
“…again.”
“And then, I will blame the users.”
hopefully
It’s funny because Facebook was the original dumpster fire

I mean, yes, but it also had some value, once.
They pulled off a cool trick by getting all the boomers hooked on farmville and pics of the grandkids.
