Nah. I just arrive on time or maybe 5-10 minutes later

I got super fucking excited because I thought of the old macro/meme when I saw the title.

We need it back !

Ah, an Ancient. You know you’ve been around for a while if you think of memes as just internet in-jokes and the formulaic funny images as macros.

me: Now I’m stressed. Time to lay in bed procrastinating until 2:45pm.

Then rush like the devil incarnate trying to get there at 3:00PM

What about getting mentally prepared? 9am… eh?

If someone told me something starts at 3pm, that means they expect me there around 4pm, so ~4:30 to be fashionably late

Not here. Normal is at least 5 minutes early and the fashionably late types come on the dot. If you end up even 5 minutes late, you should inform the host immediately when you realize you could be running late.

Where do you live, a military base? O.o

Finland. Of course that is exaggerated and there are always some chronically late people, but being any kind of late without a notice is frowned upon. That’s why we get along with Germans way better than southern europeans.

Yep that makes total sense and why I hate going out.

Me in my head: frantically starts trying to think up plausible excuses to get out of going without hurting anyone’s feelings, once again forgetting that they know about my social anxiety and would probably accept the true reason for me not wanting to go
