Second the taking notes idea.

Can say in my case, a txt file for useful commands I’ve been feeding since I started using Linux 4 years ago has been invaluable.

Unsure if it’d be your case, but maybe you’re too tired? Tiredness can mess memory afaik. Or maybe you’re not using the ideal learning methods? In my case for language learning, for example, repetition is a guaranteed way for me to lose focus, instead with cinversations being ideal for learning.

In the line of podcasts, music and other audio/video contents you can just listen too, maybe check Grayjay and/or NewPipe, and pick the interesting stuff you find from the platforms connected? Each social media has a different focus, a culture if you will, and so mixing stuff might help keeping what you get to listen fresh.

Unsure what had happened in another post and poked in my instance’s main(?)/meta(?) community ([email protected]), but after a short back and forth, and seeing the behavior repeat here as well, I think the owner’s assumption is correct, the first of each pair of community links here is actually a hyperlink manually created. And so I assume also that the seconds from those pairs above are proper sharable communities.

Nowadays, I only talk more frequently to a handful of people I found through such niches, but some of those, I’ve been talking for some 10 years now. So I’d say yes, I think so.

Maybe not an ADHD community, but rather joining communities for niches you like? I have a gut feeling it’s easier to find potential friends if the person narrows down to that.

Maybe martial arts or cross-fit? Afaik, martial arts aren’t as repetitive as usual exercises, and cross-fit is pretty mixed up.

Also, though harder given ADHD itself, as you identified problematic points of your behavior, maybe focus also on changing them?
