I’ve been on Lemmy for a week. This is the best post so far, hands down.

Is there a guide or tutorial or just someone with spare time who can explain how and why it works that way?

Could you elaborate? This might be the closest I’ve been yet to understanding.

I keep seeing this explanation, and, thank you. But, I still don’t get it. I understand the basics, which is what I find everywhere.

What I’m not sure of is HOW to use it. It’s actually kinda driving me crazy because I’m actually putting forth some effort here, but still, no dice.

It just isn’t intuitive. I’m a pretty tech savvy fella. I’ve now watched 3 videos on the topic, read the welcome guides, visited all the profiles looking for answers. But… I come up blank.
