Its a shame because they’re prominent voice on lemmy. Good on the admins for not tolerating this. I don’t understand the point of targeting a person you don’t like on the internet just because they said something that upset you and spamming their post with downvotes. If you don’t like someone block their ass and be done with it. I agree with the perspective that its harassment (and an incredibly petty ineffective form of it at that)

They get a chance to be? 196 banned me from their Matrix channel just for being a straight person. I didn’t even have a discussion with them. It was “oh, you’re not trans? Bye!”, instantly.
“Oh, we already banned him… huh… fuck, is he right?!”
I was banned from their lemmy instance for criticizing blahaj about a month ago, I never even had a back and forth with a user on their instance. Some admin said “seeya never, then!” and banned me indirectly from a comment on another instance.
Gonna need a big [citation needed] on that one.
