Thank you for your response! Certainly gave me a good understanding

I think I’ll stick with Lemmy

Very interesting, it sounds like they each have pros and cons, it also sounds a bit like mIRC without the C

I must admit, it’s MUCH easier to sign-up and start using it (even if you don’t know what it’s doing)

wtf is nostr?
So no question I've been enjoying lemmy, I love the freedom it offers and I love the seemingly simple and elegant framework it runs on however after having ditched Reddit for the hopes of a similar or improved content experience I have to say it is quite a bit smaller and therefore barren at times which is both a good and bad thing depending on your needs And then of course there's kbin and masterdon which from my understanding is a little more geared towards the twitter-like micro blogging But this morning somehow I stumbled across nostr which I have never heard of but I was wondering if anyone out there has any experience with it? There's a Web app like voyager at iris.to that makes browsing pretty simple..

I was waiting for a punchline there, “tired of cleaning you’re room? Try doing it naked, tired of going to work? Try going naked” this sort of thing but you’re sincere and I like what you’re saying

Hey I like you’re name that’s a great idea

Yes well he clearly doesn’t have enough money

how is meta’s threads involved with the fediverse?
I've read that threads is using ActivityPub but what does that mean exactly? Can we as Lemmy users subscribe to communities or follow users on threads instances? Do they even have communities/instances? I don't quite understand Thanks 🙏

Duck that made me laugh

is there something like catbox that supports gallery links?
I love catbox.moe it's really really handy but sometimes I need to share multiple photos at once and I was just wondering if there's a solution to that.. Thanks in advance

It used to be part of the cultural lexicon back in the late 90’s and 00’s, I used to say it all the time and I know gay people who did it as well lol

I think there’s worse offenses but at the same time it’s not hard to just not say it and I feel like it’s a bit insensitive and outdated, if it slips out from time to time it’s not a big deal but I think you’d be better off just training yourself out of the habit.
