On that we can agree. But most of the activist effort should go into stopping the companies’ emissions, not into infighting.

True but the emissions saved if everyone copied in with the proposed actions dwarf in comparison with the emissions saved if those 100 corporations did the same.

So what is easier to do? Change the lifestyles and circumstances of billions of people in every country in the world within half a decade or so the same with large companies?

Vor Allem ist die vorgeschlagene Idee ja sowas von idiotisch auf allen Ebenen! Aerosole würden zwar die Erdoberfläche verschatten und somit z.B. Solarenergie schwieriger machen aber die eingetragene Energie kommt ja noch immer auf der Erde an - nur halt oben in den Wolken! Da wird sie dann absorbiert und die Erde heizt sich noch mehr auf.

Geoengineering hat uns überhaupt erst in dieser Situation gebracht, mehr Herumgepfusche am Klima macht alles nur schlimmer.

Fühl ich. Ein Freund von mir hat die Gabe, in solchen Situationen total cool und freundlich zu bleiben und diesen Leuten ihre Idiotie klar zu machen indem er sie einfach wirklich ernst nimmt. Meistens werden die dann aggressiv und defensiv aber haben absolut keine Angriffsfläche. Und nie hab ich dann Popcorn dabei!
