Most people only interact with votes; not comments. If the rule is “No downvoting” make it an official rule and stop banning people under the pretense of breaking rule 5.

I think what you are missing is that they’re banning people for breaking Rule 5 that haven’t broken Rule 5.

Nobody is taking issue with them banning people that broke Rule 5.

I have multiple calendars, but I’m not exactly happy with my setup so I’m interested in what kind of answers you get.

I have maintenance calendars for both the house and my car for things like replacing filters, cleaning fans, changing oil, etc. It’s mostly regular recurring maintenance, but I also add any car projects in the car maintenance calendar (e.g. replace head gasket, overhauled cooling system) for record keeping.

I have a foraging calendar where I note when and where I’ve found different things e.g:

• July 11th Chanterelles National Forest
• Sept 3rd Pawpaws, State Park

After that I have a Personal calendar which is where I pretty much dump everything else like Dr appointments, friends travel plans, reservations, etc.

Can’t you just create the community you desire?

So this is just a venue to say shitty things without repercussions?

Mastodon has a bookmark feature to fulfill this use case.

You can absolutely use favorites this way too but if you ever want to save a comment without the poster knowing bookmarks are the way.
