I would recommend trying different skins for Kodi, was a game changer for me.

You just rambled on for a bit without really answering my question: how does taking the proper measures (VPN, changing port, updating client, using anonymous mode if available) not make you more private during the file sharing?

I understand how the bittorrent protocol works, but with constant randomization you should have no unique identifier except if youre the only seeder on 10 old torrents… So please clarify

Shouldn’t a VPN hide you? I get that port + user agent can be an identifier, but all you have to do is stay up to date and change your port every so often, then you’re good. If not, let me know, cheers

I used to use Kavita for ebooks and it was a pain to organize them. I usually just dump a bunch of .epubs into books directory, but it only recognizes books INSIDE of a folder. So, I just made a script to create a folder using the exact name and put the epub in it.

Did you read mine? Like how fucking stupid are you to just regurgitate my exact point.

But you have ublock? [PiHole] is redundant at that point

do you realise that ublock origin blocks ads from remote domains right? Enable “I am an advanced user” and be shocked to see how many external resources it allows and blocks.

It’s needed.

no it’s not. It’s convenient, but not needed. Same goes for adblockers, they are not needed, but are very convenient.

Having two Adblock’s isn’t a problem either.

Yes it is. Is there any advantage to having 4 different adblock extensions on your browser? No, it only increases the attack surface to your browser. PiHole is useful for everything but web browsing since you can use an adblocker, such as ublock origin.

I agree with this since I myself use PiHole, but it is redundant on a browser which uses ublock - and that was my original point.

Pihole does nothing on YouTube as their ads are served on the save server as the videos.

Oh, my bad. So, basically I use a docker image of Deemix on my server, which in very simple terms is basically a virtualized container on my server which hosts Deemix, the Deezer downloader. Then, I also have Navidrome on docker, which is a self-hosted music player, sort of like Spotify but with your downloaded music.

Does that make sense? If you’re having trouble with understanding docker/containers just google it, I’m not the best at explaining it 😅

Basically like a login token without sharing email or password.

I prefer using Deemix with a deezer Hi-Fi ARL. Has an amazing docker container which I simply sync to a Navidrome instance.

Oddly enough, I enjoyed Far Cry 5 even though it followed pretty closely the same formula. Something about the game really stuck out to me, while 4 and 6 were horrible in comparison imo.

Which also used to spread adware through their applications (search Cross Rider I believe, now names Kape)

I bought 2 years from them a while ago but was required to:

  1. enter an email
  2. use my address to purchase

Good product though. Horrible SOCKS5 proxies though, almost 90% downtime. Not to foremention the horrible support from the admins - the normal support was amazing though.

Really up to you if you want the compromises, though there are better VPNs for privacy out there.
