China currently bans anyone from entering who denies their narrative about Tiananmen Square. It’s the same deal here. There’s also a couple of already-controversial Lemmy users who are collaborating with the US government by judas-kissing everyone after having honeypotted them. One of them having been infamous for banning people who promoted “blind alignment with Luigi Mangione” [sic].

The fediverse is very feudal, and the government has occasionally popped in to subtly ask the disillusioned for pointers, since simple spying often leads to questions. So there’s active collaboration here.
