Not once have you linked to any of those studies you keep referring to.

That’s your opinion, which I’m saying should be excluded from the post title.

Cambridge Dictionary defines “controversial” as “causing disagreement or discussion”. The admin’s comments did just that, so objectively speaking they are controversial.

I don’t think post titles in this community should include personal bias.

“lemmy.blahaj.zone admin announces defederation from programming.dev because of controversial comments made by their admin” would have been better and much more factual.

Some people arguably need to be shocked like this before they become aware in the first place.

My instance dormi.zone has been running for around 3½ weeks now, has a 3-digit amount of users and hosts a community with little more than 1000 subscribers. Here’s how much storage it currently takes up:

  • 4.9 GiB pictrs
  • 6.2 GiB postgres

In the default Ansible configuration, storage will mostly be accumulated by log files that are automatically generated by Docker and deleted whenever you restart the Docker containers.

After what happened to imgur and gfycat, definitely their own image hosting service.

We’ll be celebrating a lot of cake days on next year’s June and July
