You are literally putting words in that person’s mouth. They were suggesting therapy as a good idea before medical transition and expressed their opinion in a polite, elaborative way. And here you go running around claiming that they push the message that therapy should be required, that they make someone unable to transition without going to therapy etc.

You don’t have to be so defensive when you’re arguing with someone who doesn’t threaten neither youin particular nor any group of people in general. You could’ve expressed your disagreement politely and go mind your day, but you chose to stir up all this drama.

That person doesn’t gatekeep anyone and their reply to you clearly shows that they engage in good faith.

The software provided as is. Period. They never agreed to be support boys for someone, and the amount of work doesn’t really correlate to the amount of money they get from donations unless they both live in a third world country.

It’s just a matter of not being entitled, that’s it. All I’m asking for is so that people would be more polite to FOSS devs. If they stop doing their work right now what are you going to do? Implement the mod tools yourself? Then go ahead.

They are correct, but I wanted to address the attitude towards the people doing basically free work.

Because Lemmy is free and provided as is, nobody is obligated to do shit.

It would have been different if they simply pointed this out, but they specifically aimed this at the two people doing a ton of work for free making it available for everyone. That’s simply rude and ungrateful, in my opinion.

The only thing that could have prevented this is better moderation tools. And while a lot of the instance admins have been asking for this, it doesn’t seem to be on the developers roadmap for the time being. There are just two full-time developers on this project and they seem to have other priorities. No offense to them but it doesn’t inspire much faith for the future of Lemmy.

God, lemmy.world admins are something else

No Fediverse software is obliged to be an alternative to an already existing proprietary platform. Misskey is just another microblogging platform.

This is the easiest method that just clicks for me. No installing any other launchers, no running some scripts. Perfect in the case you don’t pirate games that much

I second innertune, worked fine for 8 months. Last update (a week ago) introduced some annoying bugs though :(

I haven’t seen it because I haven’t used the default front-end in years :D

Facebook doesn’t delete shit anyway, don’t bother unless you have some public posts on that account, which you don’t want others to see

It has everything I need and nothing I don’t. Maybe the UI isn’t as nice as other solutions, but it’s fine for me. Also, it comes preinstalled with Plasma, so I didn’t have the need to install anything else

Telegram is a shitty messenger apart from having a big file upload limit, which makes it good for piracy. Anyway, those bots just scrape song titles, go to youtube and download songs from there, no magic involved

FediTips itself supports repressions against Muslim minorities in China by that logic, because they most likely use a lot of commodities that were made in PRC
