alot used to piss me off… but ever since i saw a picture of Alot, things make more sense.

that’s so interesting. i had no idea. i have an iphone but i use another text message app and so no one sees my blue bubble… i don’t even give out the iphone number anymore.

There’s nothing wrong with doing what you’re doing. You’re a human being (not a human doing) who gets to choose how to spend your time. It is your life. You’re not a machine who’s purpose is to be productive, it’s an unhealthy mindset. No one is happy being a machine.

that’s a common problem. kids don’t know how to use computers because they’re so used to using apps.

I think the desire for massive crowds is just a reflection

of capitalism. outsiders don’t consider you successful unless you have x amount of users or make x in revenue or are top 3 in your category. and even when you match the desired characteristics, it’s still not enough. what about this quarter? profits over everything. the solution isn’t to bend for other people, but to create something that’s authentic to you and be satisfied with what you have.

… so you’re saying that my subscriber numbers are actual people and not mostly bots? I assumed they were bots. (I created an over 30 community).

i don’t blame them for not welcoming redditors. they weren’t on reddit for a reason, and now there’s an influx of redditors making a lot of changes.
