It shouldn’t be a s dangerous idea. It doesn’t matter what email service you’re signed for - you can still communicate with any one in the world. It should be the same for Lemmy. Lemmy UI should be improved to better search and present communities from all over the Fediverse. And join-lemmy should have a random link to a single registration page on a random instance. That will not only make the process better for end users, but will also manage the load between instances, making the whole network more resilient.
I guess what will happen very soon is that there will be some super cheap subscription based Steam like service with clean and safe pirated games. Just like there are Russian Netfix alternatives, where you pay like $2 per month and get access to streaming and downloading all possible films and series from all over the world.
And once that happens, there will be no going back. The war will end, the sanctions will be lifted, but Russian gamers will never pay for games ever again.
You can check his releases on rutracker.ru, sometimes people complain about virus detection, monkrus calls reporters idiots and then his next release is clean.
That will break federation in a very bad way. Imagine you’re on such instance which doesn’t want NSFW content, but you subscribe to a NSFW community. Admins block it and you don’t even know it, you just don’t see your community anymore. What do you do? Create another account elsewhere? The whole point of federation is to use one single account EVERYWHERE. Otherwise it’s no different then Reddit and Hacker News - just two random online sites and you have to create a bazillion of accounts everywhere.
Admins should not block anything coming from outside instances. Admins should never defed. Instead you, as a user, should have all the tools to moderate your own feed. If you give away your rights and freedoms, you’ll lose them forever and you’ll be abused on Lemmy the way you were on Reddit.
You can read about capitalism in Wikipedia.
Most countries today move towards economical fascism, where governments exercise control over private property but do not nationalize it. Lobbying, donor interest protection, cronyism, rise of oligarchy - you can see it in many countries. And then inevitable radicalisation of the public and scapegoating everything else as the core issue. Capitalism, migrants, ecology - everything is a problem but the government.
Where’s US pro capitalist? It’s one of a few countries with legal corruption called lobbying, which helps big corps to shield themselves from competition. US today has a plethora of laws and regulations which create and sustain monopolies. US has whole industries created by lawmakers and completely stonewalled from anyone entering them. Capitalism my ass…
Also capitalism doesn’t require infinite growth. I don’t know where you people are getting that lunacy from.
You should stop skipping school.
